There is a fire burning over the earth, taking with it plants and animals, ancient skills, and visionary wisdom. At risk is a vast archive of knowledge and expertise, a catalog of the imagination, an oral and written language composed of the memories of countless elders and healers, warriors, farmers, fishermen, midwives, poets and saints. In short, the artistic, intellectual and spiritual expression of the full complexity and diversity of the human experience. Quelling this flame, this spreading inferno, and rediscovering a new appreciation of the human spirit as expressed by culture, is among the central challenges of our times.

Beltaine week; April 30 ~ May 6
Pathways week; May 10 ~ 16
Registration is currently set to open Saturday, March 11; watch here for updates
Native Youth Scholarships are currently being accepted
How to Register:
We have done our best in recent years to keep the price of Buckeye affordable, despite the growing student demand that would allow us to raise prices. So we offer a sliding scale! What you pay is up to you, but if you can afford to pay more (five days of classes from an amazing field of teachers, plus healthy meals!), this is your chance to contribute to the long-term vision of a sustainable village structure. If the sliding scale reflects the variety of income levels after the dust clears, we can keep the base price at a slow rate of inflation. Thanks, everyone!
Please register all youths! We do not have space for folks to arrive with unregistered kids. Please contact us if you wish to bring more than 3 youths per adult.
There are two ways to pay: check / money order, or by Paypal payment. When Registration is open, directions will be HERE.
Once your payment is received, you will receive our registration packet within 2 weeks. All the details are in there. The reg packet is not mailed automatically, but it will come to the email you enter when you register. After registration, you should receive a receipt by email; this is your confirmation that we know you are coming.
Registration includes breakfast and dinner from Sunday night to Saturday morning, 5 days full of workshops, camping, and activities throughout the week. There are vegetarian and gluten free options. Individual instructors may have additional materials fees for classes, from a few bucks to more for the likes of classes with more intensive materials: bows, shoes, etc.
Every year we meet and focus as a village. We ask you to join us for opening and closing ceremonies and be prepared to stay for the whole week. Like Backtracks events, the class schedule will not be available until you arrive. Check out our Welcome page or here for a list of past year’s classes to help you get a sense of what to expect. Only so many of us can fit each year; we fill up. By purchasing tickets to Buckeye, you enroll as a member in our annual event.

Prices will be slightly higher for 2017
